Bed Placement
The bed is not only a place to rest and relax but also a very important part of bedroom feng shui, especially bed placement. If your bed can be propped up against two walls opposite the door (either opposite or diagonal to the door) and it is in the right direction of your feng shui fortune, it will help you improve your financial situation, inviting more business and work opportunities to come your way.
In particular, to make the bedroom feng shui, you need to avoid placing the bed:
- Put the headboard not close to the wall, put the bed in the middle of the room
Beds that are left between the room and the headboard to play with, i.e. “exposed”, without support, without shelter will lead to less sand. This location causes the bedroom space to be divided, causing many disadvantages to the homeowner.
- Put the bed directly opposite and lie in a straight line with the entrance door
This is called the “dead position” in feng shui. Because the air will rush directly into the lying person. This will endanger the health and destroy the reputation of the owner. For this case, homeowners should move the bed, do not leave the bed and room door in a straight line. If the bed cannot move, turning your head in the other direction is also a solution.
- Put the bed under the window
This will affect the health of the owner. If you put your bed under a window, you will not have any protection or support. In case you have to put your bed under the window because there is no other way, you need to hang a heavy cloth curtain and always close it every time you sleep at night.
Color selection for feng shui bedroom
Not only affect aesthetics, but colors also directly affect bedroom feng shui. According to feng shui, the colors in the bedroom should be soft or warm colors such as beige, yellow, peach, coral, brown, or light cocoa to help the rest space achieve balance.
In addition, cool tone colors such as light blue, green, lavender purple … are also considered a very beneficial color for sleep. However, you should not use too many cold tones in the bedroom. Because they are said to harm rest. Ideally, the room should have a harmonious combination of warm colors with cold colors in the ratio of 50% – 50%.
The color of mattresses, blankets, pillows, and curtains should be harmonious, in the same tone as the main color of the bedroom. It creates balance and brings energy to the rest space.
Arrange accessories for feng shui bedroom
The sharp, pointed edges of the table and bedside will reduce the airflow that is focusing on you while sleeping. Therefore, in order for the bedroom to be feng shui, you should choose furniture with a round or oval shape or at least these edges should also be smooth, and round.
Regardless of whether you are married or single, the furniture in the bedroom should also be arranged in pairs, such as two bedside tables, two-night lamps … to create harmony and fullness.
According to feng shui, the bedroom should not have a mirror. Because they create not deep sleep and a feeling of restlessness. If you have a mirror in your room, design a mirror hidden in the cabinet wing. In particular, you absolutely should not arrange a mirror opposite the bed.
When hanging pictures in the bedroom, avoid sad, offensive, or upsetting paintings. Instead, choose artwork that inspires you or depicts things you want to see in life.
